Role Overview
- Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects
- Recognize inconsistencies in engineering drawings, take corrective action
- Identify and resolve errors in engineering studies
- Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts
- Support projects from inception to completion collaborating with project managers
- Influence project teams on engineering tasks
- Manage project milestones and recognize risks
- Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment
- Understand specifications for major equipment purchasing
- Handle other assigned duties as needed
Requirements
- Must have utility or commercial experience
- Engineering degree
- 3+ years experience in Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction
- Expertise in power electronics, battery storage system design, substation design, generation tie design
- Familiarity with energy storage technologies
- Safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC)
- Familiarity with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
