About this role
Role Overview
- Design, develop, and maintain full-stack solutions using modern Java technologies
- Contribute to the migration and modernisation of legacy systems
- Develop backend services using J2EE 11+ and Quarkus
- Build and maintain frontend applications using React and TypeScript
- Design and implement RESTful APIs and system integrations
- Work with messaging systems such as Kafka and JMS
- Collaborate on database design and development using PostgreSQL
- Ensure code quality through best practices, code reviews, and testing
- Work with cloud-based infrastructure (AWS) and security frameworks (Keycloak)
- Participate in CI/CD processes using Maven and Git
- Cooperate closely with architects, analysts, and other developers
Requirements
- Strong experience with Java 11+ (minimum 5 years)
- Proven experience with Quarkus, React, and TypeScript
- Solid knowledge of PostgreSQL and database design
- Hands-on experience with Kafka and JMS messaging systems
- Experience designing and consuming REST APIs (XML knowledge is a plus)
- Proficiency with Maven and Git
- Experience working with AWS cloud environment
- Familiarity with Keycloak or similar identity and access management tools
- Experience using modern development tools such as GitHub Copilot
- Banking domain experience is mandatory
- High level of independence, ownership, and adaptability
- You are fluent in English
- Czech or Slovak language at a professional level is essential.
