Lead the design, development, and integration activities for outsourced brake control software, ensuring adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
Collaborate extensively with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, development teams, and validation engineers, to define software requirements and ensure seamless integration.
Manage and execute engineering release processes utilizing Engineering Release Systems, including documentation, configuration management, and issue tracking.
Apply Group Problem Solving techniques to identify and resolve complex technical challenges throughout the software development lifecycle.
Manage software validation plans for your assigned program.
Issue part saleable status based on successful completion of all required testing.
Support controller warranty analysis, issue resolution, parts restriction, and report updates as required to team leadership.
Act as a technical lead for cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative environment and driving accountability for project deliverables.
Ensure all software releases meet General Motors' stringent safety, performance, and quality standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Proven experience in software design, development, and integration, preferably within the automotive industry.
Demonstrated proficiency with Engineering Release Systems and their application in a complex product development environment.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving projects to successful completion.
Proficiency in Group Problem Solving methodologies.
Familiarity with Teamcenter Visualization or similar product lifecycle management (PLM) tools.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a strong customer-focused approach.
