About this role

Advising insurers and insureds on complex professional indemnity claims
Handling high-value and sensitive matters across a broad range of professions
Managing claims from inception through to resolution, including litigation, mediation and settlement
Acting as a trusted adviser to key insurer and broker clients
Supervising, mentoring and developing junior lawyers within the team
Supporting partners with business development, including client pitches and panel tenders
Contributing to the strategic growth and profile of the National PI practice

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent common law jurisdiction)
Significant post-qualification experience in professional indemnity insurance
Strong technical expertise in PI policy wordings, coverage issues and claims handling
Proven ability to manage complex, high-value matters with a high degree of autonomy
Excellent client-handling skills with a commercial and solutions-focused approach
Experience mentoring junior lawyers and contributing positively to team culture
Interest in business development and practice growth
