About this role
Role Overview
- Design and develop internal tools, services, and CLIs that abstract cloud and infrastructure complexity for developers.
- Architect and evolve the Internal Developer Platform with a focus on standardization, scalability, and developer experience.
- Implement and maintain GitOps-based deployment platforms, including strategies for promoting between environments.
- Develop and standardize reusable, versioned Helm charts as internal products.
- Design and evolve pipeline architectures using GitHub Actions at enterprise scale.
- Implement advanced deployment strategies such as Canary and Blue/Green using Helm and Service Mesh.
- Apply engineering best practices such as Clean Code and SOLID when developing platform solutions.
- Integrate static analysis and security tools into the development lifecycle.
- Work with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, ensuring modularization, versioning, and reuse.
- Act as a technical reference, mentoring other engineers and influencing architectural decisions.
Requirements
- Strong software development experience, preferably with Python or a similar language.
- Proficient in Kubernetes, including concepts such as CRDs, Operators, and Admission Controllers.
- Experience with GitHub Actions and automation via APIs.
- Knowledge of Azure Cloud, including services such as APIM, Container Apps, Networking, Storage, and managed databases.
- Experience with Terraform for provisioning and managing infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience with GitOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Helm charts and managing deployments on Kubernetes.
- Platform Engineering mindset with a focus on internal product development.
- Familiarity with SRE practices such as SLAs, SLOs, and Error Budgets.
- Ability to act as a technical reference and influence architectural decisions.
