About this role
Role Overview
Managing ecological construction supervision (öBB) for complex construction projects in the areas of water management and infrastructure
Monitoring compliance with nature conservation and species protection requirements during detailed design and throughout construction
Advising construction contractors and local site supervisors on relevant nature conservation requirements, e.g.: protected/taboo zones, particularly protected species, and mitigation and avoidance measures
Preparing environmental and nature-conservation-related plans and reports, in particular species protection assessments and landscape mitigation/compensation plans (LBP)
Requirements
Degree in Biology, Landscape Planning, Landscape Ecology or a comparable field
Professional experience in ecological construction supervision
Certificate in environmental construction supervision (e.g., DWA, Umweltinstitut Offenbach) desirable
Solid knowledge of applicable nature conservation laws and regulations
Technical understanding and basic knowledge of ArcGIS
Good knowledge of flora and fauna, especially species relevant to planning (breeding birds, amphibians, bats, etc.)
Confident use of GIS and standard MS Office software
Conflict-resolution skills and an independent, structured, goal-oriented working style
Team player with very good communication skills
Fluent German (min. C1) and very good English
Valid driving license (car)
