Role Overview
- Conduct in-home visits with participants enrolled in clinical trials
- Review patient charts and perform prescreening according to the protocol’s inclusion/exclusion (I/E) criteria
- Collect clinical samples and data to assess the safety and efficacy of investigational treatments
- Conduct study visits in accordance with study protocols and the scheduled activities defined by the study
- Perform nursing procedures, including blood draws (venipuncture), vital signs measurement, and urine collection
- Administer medications, including subcutaneous injections (as needed)
- Label, process, and ship samples
- Accurately document study visits, adverse events (AEs), serious adverse events (SAEs), and mental health (MH) assessments
- Support community engagement efforts to increase awareness and patient recruitment
Requirements
- Active licensed Registered Nurse in the country of practice
- CPR / BLS certification required
- Recent experience with venipuncture and blood draws
- Experience reviewing patient charts and prescreening according to protocol criteria
- Ability to conduct study visits following protocol-specific procedures and timelines
- Comfortable using basic computer software for documentation and reporting
- Flexible availability and ability to travel locally or regionally (up to 90 miles)
- Reliable transportation, access to the internet, and a mobile phone
- Pediatric experience is an asset
