Provide strategic legal advice to internal stakeholders to help design and implement a fit-for-purpose and right-sized privacy program for this newly formed, global, public company
Support the design, implementation, and ongoing operation of a global privacy governance program
Advise on data processing activities, privacy‑by‑design initiatives, Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), international data transfers, and vendor engagements
Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Security, Product, HR, and other business teams across regions
Monitor and interpret developments in global privacy laws and regulations and assess their impact on Solstice’s business
Assist with regulatory inquiries, audits, and incident response relating to data protection matters
Contribute to internal policies, training, and awareness programs related to data privacy and data protection
Requirements
Law degree from an accredited law school
6+ years of experience practicing law
Strong working knowledge of GDPR and U.S. privacy laws (e.g., state privacy laws and sector‑specific requirements)
Demonstrated experience advising on privacy matters in a commercial, business‑oriented context
Excellent communication and drafting skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple competing priorities
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into practical guidance
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a global, cross‑functional team
