Contribute to process improvement and business transformation projects for Baker Tilly’s healthcare clients with a focus on health systems and hospitals
Collaborate with clients and internal teams through discovery sessions and interviews to identify, understand and translate business needs, processes and challenges into effective process documentation and requirements
Analyze healthcare data sets to support client initiatives such as claim remittance, EHR, clinical workflow improvement and patient accounting data
Analyze and interpret healthcare transactional data (e.g., claim, payment, adjustment, and denial information) to identify issues, anomalies, or process breakdowns
Define key processes and capabilities to develop deliverables such as process maps, capability definitions, and reporting inventories
Own solution components from requirements through implementation
Manage project workstreams, build workplans, and track project financials
Manage third-party vendor relationships on behalf of clients and project needs
Construct status reports and project communications
Participate in various phases of system implementations or optimizations which may include: Design definition, System and acceptance testing and validation activities, Data mapping, migration and integration efforts, Support for defect tracking, assessment and categorization, Post go-live support assessment, and categorization
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, finance, engineering, computer science, management information systems, healthcare, public health, or related field
Minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience working with, or for, a healthcare provider
Healthcare provider industry experience required
Flexibility to travel to client sites as needed and work outside of normal business hours due to client demands
Experience working with healthcare data sets and operations, with demonstrated experience in at least one (1) of the following: EHR implementation or optimization, Electronic Health Record (EHR) data, 837 claims data, 835 remittance / payment data, Patient accounting / billing system data, Revenue cycle / financial transactions data, VBC contract performance adoption and improvement, Clinical or operational healthcare data, Provider order sets and clinical documentation
Demonstrated analytical, organizational, interpersonal, project management, and communication skills
Highly developed Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, etc.) required

Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, see the "big picture" as well as the details and have a commitment to quality and timeliness
Project experience with full lifecycle application development (e.g. requirements gathering, use case development, system analysis and design, integration, testing, deployment)
Project management experience within the provider space, i.e. EHR implementation, 3rd party system integration, process improvement initiatives, etc., is preferred
Experience writing SQL queries to support analysis, validation, or troubleshooting activities is preferred
Experience validating or supporting ETL processes, data mappings, or transformations is preferred
Familiarity with major healthcare platforms or data environments is preferred: Epic, Oracle Health/Cerner, Other patient accounting/revenue cycle platforms
Experience supporting vendor or enterprise platform implementations is preferred
Experience with testing methodologies, tools, or defect tracking processes is preferred
Exposure to healthcare revenue cycle, financial operations, or administrative workflows is preferred
