The purpose of this role is to be able to build a maximum of three high performing multi-discipline teams (usually of size 8-10) of developers, QA resources and testers in The SAFe Agile Scrum Development process.
The Lead Scrum master will provide the coaching, mentoring and day to day governship of the Scrum process to ensure that all Agile development best practices are followed and the teams reach their full potential and are able to self-manage.
If not directly mentoring more than one team, the Lead Scrum Master will be usually seen building and mentoring the team needed within the most complex area or with teams which have the most challenges to overcome to be highly performing.
The Lead Scrum master will facilitate and drive the development of a consistent of processes across the department that creates the underlying Scrum Framework utilised by all members of the Scrum teams.
They will own the Spint planning process for their own teams, building teams of self-organised resources, and defining/facilitating key processes such as the product backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives.
Ultimately, the Lead Scrum Master must remove any impediments that are stopping the team complete the developments they have contracted to the Business will be delivered in the Sprint.
The Lead Scrum Master will act as lead for the Scrum of Scrums meeting and will take the lead in educating other teams, in and outside of the department in developing agile processes, being able to act as an Agile Delivery lead for new implementations of Agile across the organisation.
Requirements
5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science, Information Systems or Business field of study required.
Certified Scrum Master
