About this role
Role Overview
- Work on projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV
- Use knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits to design substation electrical projects
- Perform quality control checks on substation physical design projects
- Read and design substation physical drawings such as one-line drawings, three-line drawings, foundation, grounding drawings
- Attend site visits at customer locations
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or related degree
- 4+ years of related substation physical design experience for senior-level
- 8+ years of related substation physical design experience for lead-level
- Experience with grounding studies and lighting studies
- Self-starter who works independently with minimal direction
- Strong analytical skills and proven problem solver
- Willingness to travel to project/client sites
