Compliance Officer – Commercial Servicing

Role Overview

• Provide loan servicing support to business and commercial lines of business.
• Research, interpret and assist with applying related laws and regulations.
• Provide consultative advice and perform oversight activities.
• Serve as corporate subject matter expert for all compliance risks.
• Develop relationships of trust with designated lines of business.
• Provide oversight and monitoring of line of business processes and controls.
• Identify process improvements or control gaps and facilitate necessary changes.
• Keep abreast of new laws and regulations, and perform impact and gap analyses.
• Assist with regulatory compliance exams.
• Participate in or lead projects related to mitigating risk.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Juris Doctorate or CRCM preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience as a financial services compliance professional, bank regulator or other comparable legal experience.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory requirements related to loan servicing compliance.
• Experience applying and interpreting SCRA, FCRA, ECOA, UDAP/UDAAP, state law requirements, and other commercial or banking laws and regulations.
• Demonstrated knowledge of operational processes that facilitate business and commercial loan servicing.
• Strong relationship management and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to work in a team environment.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Sound understanding of compliance risks.
• Strong research skills coupled with strong problem solving/analytical skills.
• Experience working within the three lines of defense model strongly considered.
