Role Overview
- Participate in or lead efforts in solutions, roadmaps, and architectural recommendations
- Facilitate and/or execute the governance process for projects
- Implement strategy for stability and performance of solutions
- Provide input into portfolio prioritization process
- Contribute to and influence adoption of new concepts and best practices
- Collaborate with other architects and development groups
- Own deliverables associated with product evaluations and Proof of Concepts
- Participate in development and production support of application utilities
- Execute day-to-day architectural strategy
Requirements
- Working knowledge of architecture technology directions
- Working knowledge in enterprise, application, and information architecture
- Working knowledge of product and/or project management and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- General knowledge of technical reference architectures in Java, .NET, SQL and SOA
- General knowledge of influencing people in a matrixed organization
- Thorough knowledge of experience in multiple technologies and architectures
- General knowledge of Insurance industry experience
- General knowledge of engaging with business stakeholders and turning requirements into IT solutions
- General knowledge of providing architecture guidance to Development Teams
- Thorough knowledge of experience in multiple technologies and architectures including J2EE, Web Application Development, SOA & Web Services, Middleware Technologies, Relational Database Design, Document Management, Data Warehouse, Performance Engineering
