Provide technical leadership across the design and delivery of electrical systems for major water infrastructure projects
Work closely with mechanical, civil and process engineers, as well as suppliers and subcontractors
Lead and support front-end electrical engineering (tender and design) to meet project requirements, standards and client expectations
Provide technical input into EPC delivery, including engineering, procurement support, construction planning and commissioning readiness
Develop and implement project methods, including identification of temporary works and responsibilities for design, checking, inspection and maintenance
Manage schedules and critical path items by planning resources, risk, sequencing and logistics to mitigate delays
Coordinate and communicate across multidisciplinary teams, including client and stakeholder interfaces, suppliers and subcontractors
Support construction delivery by ensuring method statements and engineering plans are implemented and communicated effectively
Apply risk management and due diligence to ensure WHS risks are identified and controlled
Use and promote digital engineering tools to support planning, coordination, utility identification and collaboration during design and delivery
Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes and "Quality at ACCIONA" practices
Mentor and develop less experienced engineers and contribute to a positive, high-performing team culture
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (or related discipline)
10+ years’ experience in electrical project delivery or technical tendering
Strong industrial electrical engineering background; water treatment/desalination experience highly regarded but will consider relevant experience from the energy sector
LV/MV experience desirable, including power distribution and balance-of-plant/system electrical scope
Demonstrated experience working in EPC environments with supplier/contractor interfaces, procurement support and construction coordination
Strong stakeholder communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients, construction teams and internal disciplines
Strong planning, prioritisation and delivery focus; comfortable working to tight timeframes and shifting priorities
