Develop stewardship-focused relationships with a portfolio of individuals, businesses, churches, donors, and foundations to engage support for the ministry.
Develop and implement donor strategies for assigned regions to advance fundraising goals and the ministry's long-term sustainability.
Strengthen and expand financial support, including major gifts, through intentional, long-term donor engagement with assigned individuals, churches, and foundations.
Cultivate long-term relationships with donors so planned giving commitments to the agency increase annually.
Travel regularly within assigned regions for in-person visits, classis meetings, relationship building, donor appreciation, and fundraising events.
Maintain accurate records of donor interactions in databases to support the development of donor relationships.
Collaborate with Advancement colleagues to strengthen strategies and share insights.
Contribute to prospect research, proposal development, and strategic planning efforts that advance fundraising priorities.
Regularly thank supporters and churches of the CRCNA and invite them to stay engaged with the ministry, including joining in prayer.
Track expenses and maintain regular expense reports.
Stay current with the best practices of professional fundraising.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
Able to support the mission, vision, and values of the CRCNA.
Demonstrated ability to encourage and inspire individuals to support ministry.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proven ability to be self-motivated, work independently with minimal direction, and collaborate within a team environment.
Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with co-workers and external contacts.
Proven ability to plan and organize tasks and responsibilities, including multitasking, setting priorities, and meeting deadlines.
Proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
Demonstrated proficiency in commonly used computer applications, internet research, and constituent relationship management tools.
A bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as marketing, communications, or non-profit management, is required or equivalent work experience.
Basic experience in donor relations or advancement, with a proven track record in fundraising, is required.
