Provide strategic, best-practice HCM and payroll advisory by interpreting complex client requirements and shaping robust, scalable SAP solutions
Lead end-to-end SAP Payroll and/or Employee Central Payroll (ECP) programs, ensuring architectural integrity, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Australian Payroll standards
Redesign, document, and optimise payroll and HR business processes to drive operational efficiency and transformation outcomes
Own solution design activities, including effort estimation, gap analysis, prioritisation, and the development of implementation roadmaps
Oversee the build and testing of solution prototypes, guide configuration across project teams, and manage cutover readiness
Define the overall testing strategy, develop and review test scripts, lead execution cycles, and ensure resolution of defects and design gaps
Direct data migration planning (including historical payroll results and infotype mapping) to ensure a controlled and accurate transition
Deliver high-quality training, coaching, and knowledge transfer to client stakeholders to ensure long-term sustainability of the solution.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field
Deep, expert-level knowledge of Australian Payroll legislation (STP Phase 2, Superannuation, Fair Work) and its configuration within SAP
A proven track record of leading at least 2-3 end-to-end SAP Payroll implementations (ECP or On-Premise) within the Australian market
Strong specialist knowledge in SAP HCM Payroll; experience with Employee Central Payroll (ECP) and SuccessFactors integration is highly regarded but not mandatory
Proven ability to troubleshoot and design complex payroll schemas and PCRs (Personnel Calculation Rules)
Strong consulting presence with exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and workshop-facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, balance competing priorities, and provide leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
