Role Overview
As an Occupational Therapist (OT), you’ll empower patients to achieve independence in daily life by improving their ability to perform essential tasks through personalized, evidence-based interventions.
Evaluate patients’ physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental barriers to function
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on improving activities of daily living (ADLs), upper extremity strength/mobility, cognition, and adaptive skills
Provide hands-on therapy interventions to restore independence and promote safety
Recommend and train on assistive devices, adaptive techniques, and environmental modifications
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support whole-person care
Educate patients and caregivers on techniques for long-term success at home and in the community
Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress, and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner
Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active state license (or eligibility) as an Occupational Therapist
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
