Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including SaaS agreements, software licenses, service agreements, nondisclosure agreements, vendor agreements, and employment contracts.
Ensure contracts are compliant with applicable laws and regulations, align with company policies, and mitigate risk.
Support the General Counsel on advising internal stakeholders on the legal aspects of SaaS transactions and technology-related contracts.
Advise on employment law matters, including employee relations, workplace policies, and terminations to comply with labor laws.
Monitor changes in legislation and regulations that may impact company operations and advise on necessary adjustments.
Contribute to the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures related to contract management, regulatory compliance, and employment law, providing day-to-day legal advice to various internal stakeholders.
Be a key member of the legal team willing to step in and contribute where necessary to accomplish tasks and solve problems.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to and good standing with the Texas state bar.
1-3 years of experience as an attorney with a corporate legal department or law firm.
Strong knowledge of contract law, corporate governance, intellectual property, and other related areas of law.
Knowledge of technology law, SaaS industry standards, mergers and acquisitions and employment law would be a plus.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
