Director of Financial Aid

Role Overview

• Oversee and direct financial aid operations of the Nursing Financial Aid Office.
• Administer and manage a complex financial aid portfolio in compliance with all Federal and State regulations and University policies.
• Manage all new and existing scholarship programs.
• Administer and oversee all PhD and Post-doctoral financial student funding including primary and secondary appointments.
• Administer and manage a Merit-based financial aid program for MPN, MSN, MSNS, and DNP Programs.
• Manage the Financial Aid staff to meet the overall needs of the financial aid office.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, master’s preferred with 5-7 years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to analyze financial data and allocate funds to meet strategic goals.
• Strong knowledge of financial aid processes, federal regulations including loans and work-study programs, and financial aid packing are required.
• Knowledge of the student experience in highly competitive programs a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interface effectively with all levels.
• Excellent organization skills with the ability to plan and manage multiple projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service and interact with diverse populations.
• Strong computing skills in MS Office.
• Prior knowledge of financial aid and billing systems, especially Banner preferred.
• Prior supervisory experience required.
