About this role
Role Overview
Partner closely with our Product, Product Marketing, and Commercial teams to prioritize a research and implementation roadmap to maximize the value of our Encounters data product to customer use cases
Develop a technical vision and roadmap with the engineering team to accelerate the delivery of valuable customer use cases
Contribute meaningfully to the growth of each engineer individually and to the team’s overall operating capability
Be a strong voice for technical excellence, a passionate advocate for thoughtful, customer-oriented software design, and a mentor and coach who inspires engineers to grow
Drive initiatives across our engineering team to build and reinforce our culture of expansive ownership, individual autonomy, and constant learning through curiosity
Facilitate collaboration with other teams to deliver the best solution for the customer regardless of internal lines of ownership
Take a leadership role throughout the engineering organization, including in our hiring and onboarding processes
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a professional software engineer with extensive experience with large data product development
3+ years of experience as an engineering manager
Proven track record of architecting, building, and delivering software
Exceptional leadership, collaboration and communication skills
Proficient problem-solving abilities and clear communication skills to effectively address data-related challenges.
Experience with modeling complicated data and delivering high-quality data assets and business intelligence tooling
Experience building effective operational processes, ensuring quick and on-time delivery of complex, customer-facing projects and effective support of existing functionality
