Partner closely with senior leadership locally and globally to align HR strategy, talent priorities, and organizational needs with business objectives.
Act as a strategic liaison between US-based/global leadership and the Philippines workforce, helping translate business expectations, organizational culture, and local market realities in a matrixed environment.
Provide strategic HR counsel on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, talent development, and change management.
Support business growth by building trusted relationships with leaders and delivering practical, business-focused HR solutions.
Lead core HR operations across employee relations, compliance, HR administration, recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent development, and related HR processes.
Build, strengthen, and refine scalable HR processes, infrastructure, and governance practices to support a growing organization.
Establish, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and frameworks that promote consistency, clarity, accountability, and operational effectiveness.
Balance immediate business demands with long-term HR infrastructure building and continuous process improvement.
Identify opportunities to streamline HR operations, improve service delivery, and strengthen execution across the function.
Lead and support talent initiatives across recruitment, onboarding, workforce planning, performance management, succession support, leadership development, and employee growth.
Strengthen performance management practices to support accountability, development, feedback, and alignment with business expectations.
Support organizational design and talent planning efforts that align workforce capabilities with business priorities.
Help foster a high-performance culture while navigating change, growth, and shifting priorities.
Partner with leadership to attract, retain, and develop talent in support of organizational needs.
Ensure full compliance with Philippine labor laws, statutory requirements, and other applicable employment regulations.
Manage complex employee relations matters, investigations, conflict resolution, and workplace issues with sound judgment, discretion, and fairness.
Advise leadership on employee matters, policy interpretation, disciplinary issues, and organizational risk.
Maintain consistent application of HR policies and practices to promote fairness, clarity, and legal compliance.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred.
Minimum of 12-15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 8-10 years in a leadership role.
5+ years of experience leading country-level HR in a Global Business Services (GBS) environment, with preferred experience leading or supporting HR operations at a regional or global scale.
Demonstrated experience serving as the primary HR leader for a country, business unit, or geography; standalone in-country leadership experience strongly preferred.
Experience in start-up, build-up, or rapidly evolving HR environments as part of a core leadership team strongly preferred.
Deep expertise in Philippine labor law, employee relations, compliance, and case management.
Experience supporting global or multinational organizations, including partnership with US-based or international stakeholders.
Proven ability to operate effectively within a matrixed organization and navigate Western corporate expectations while localizing HR practices appropriately within the Philippine context.
Strong background in HR business partnering, employee relations, compensation and benefits, talent management, organizational development, and HR operations.
Demonstrated success building, stabilizing, or transforming HR processes in high-growth, transitional, or evolving environments.
Strong business acumen and proven ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization, including senior leadership.
Working knowledge of the Philippine Data Privacy Act and related requirements governing employee data handling.
Familiarity with Philippine labor practices related to overtime, holidays, night differential, and shift-based workforce considerations.
Strong English verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with local and global stakeholders.
