Working Student – Data Procurement and Quality Assurance

Role Overview

• Procure and prepare data according to predefined criteria and processes.
• Execute defined verification steps to ensure data quality.
• Document results and any anomalies.
• Identify and report inconsistencies or data issues.
• Maintain ongoing communication with external freelancers about work progress.
• Track outstanding tasks and deadlines.
• Act as the point of contact for freelancers’ day-to-day questions.
• Ensure smooth information flow between all stakeholders.
• Run simple scripts for data processing (e.g., Python or shell scripts).
• Maintain and update datasets in spreadsheets or databases.

Requirements

• You are enrolled in a university or university of applied sciences with at least one year of study remaining.
• You are available regularly throughout the week for up to 20 hours.
• Basic experience running simple scripts (e.g., Python, Bash, or similar).
• You thrive on structure and keep an overview even when handling multiple concurrent projects.
• You communicate confidently in both spoken and written German and English.
• You proactively spot where work is needed and like to think one step ahead.
• You enjoy working in a team and communicate openly and transparently.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Excel / Google Sheets or similar tools.
• Nice-to-have: Experience working with external service providers or freelancers.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira).
