Leading the design, execution, and commissioning of control systems capital projects, including distributed control systems (DCS), programmable logic controllers (PLC), and safety instrumented systems.
Serving as the technical authority and single point of accountability for control systems project scope, cost, schedule, and performance, in close partnership with Project Managers.
Developing and executing strategies for control systems migrations, upgrades, and lifecycle management, often involving legacy platforms and cross system integrations.
Applying continuous improvement and value improving practices to optimize project scope, cost, reliability, and long term operability.
Ensuring all projects are executed in full compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements while actively promoting a strong safety culture.
Collaborating across engineering, operations, maintenance, and peer groups to share best practices and deliver consistent, high quality technical solutions.
Requirements
Have a bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline such as electrical, chemical, automation, or a related field.
Bring significant experience leading industrial control systems capital projects with increasing technical responsibility.
Possess hands on experience implementing and commissioning DCS, safety PLCs, and PLCs in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrate strong technical leadership and sound engineering judgment when resolving complex or high risk control system challenges.
Have solid knowledge of project execution processes, including scope development, cost estimating, risk management, and funding approvals.
Have experience with control system platforms such as Honeywell or Experion, Schneider Electric Triconex, and Allen Bradley PLCs—and a strong commitment to environmental, health, and safety excellence.
