Support all phases of litigation and claims, including case management, document management, organization, and delivery of information and documentation to outside counsel and Third-Party Administrators.
In conjunction with Legal Counsel, review Pleadings and coordinate Discovery responses.
Create and maintain internal case files through iManage.
Manage Legal vendors and litigation billing process.
Draft, issue and track legal holds.
Draft, review, edit, package and proofread correspondence and reports; screen, analyze and respond to incoming correspondence.
Assist with responses to letters of representation, records requests, and subpoenas.
Assist with identification and implementation of new legal technology initiatives.
Assist in creation and maintenance of legal department policies and procedures.
Serve as a Notary Public.
Support special projects and initiatives, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma or GED
Paralegal Certification
A minimum of (5) five years of corporate administrative experience
Previous experience working in a law office or legal department
Must be a highly motivated, organized professional with a strong legal terminology background
A high level of initiative is essential
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft applications, including Outlook, Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
Must possess the ability to handle an array of confidential matters and maintain the highest level of confidentiality
Superior problem-solving, conflict resolution and/or mediation skills
Ability to make mature judgment calls
Knowledge of office management principles and procedures
Proper English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation
