About this role
Role Overview
- Provide hands-on administration, integration support, and maintenance for the customer's Red Hat core infrastructure
- Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Standard Operating Environments (SOEs)
- Perform technical reviews, system health checks, and share knowledge to proactively identify and prevent issues
- Gain a deep understanding of the customer’s technical infrastructure to serve as their primary advocate within Red Hat
- Partner closely with Red Hat Engineering, Product Management, and Technical Support teams
- Provide advice and guidance to customers about their current and future Red Hat products
- Manage customer cases, maintain clear and concise case documentation
Requirements
- US Citizenship
- TS/SCI Security Clearance
- Expert-level knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Red Hat Satellite
- Deep understanding of configuration management, system provisioning, network configuration, and Linux security/compliance baselines (e.g., STIGs)
- Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting, and familiarity with source code management tools like Git
- Prior experience in a support, system administration, engineering, or quality assurance organization
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple issues and projects with attention to detail
- Willingness to provide after-hours coverage as mission requirements dictate
- Bachelor's degree in a technology-related discipline (preferred)
- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified Architect (RHCA) certification (preferred)
- Working knowledge of IT automation using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (preferred)
- Familiarity with containerization concepts and Red Hat OpenShift (preferred)
