Role Overview
- Installation, operation and maintenance of training systems at NAS Fallon, NV
- Responsible for computer information services maintenance and troubleshooting
- Provide software maintenance, upgrades, and installation
- Monitor network and client/server communications
- Assist with automating report generation
- Diagnose problems via commands and technical manuals
- Instruct users on use of LAN/WAN
- Update documentation for equipment installations and configuration changes
- Install communication medium and attend meetings for data communication issues
- Create and deliver customer training programs
- Collaborate closely with Cyber Security on risk management and documentation
- Perform maintenance on assigned equipment and assist Government with CMS duties
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Four years’ experience in the installation and maintenance of client and server operating systems
- Experience with DoD approved client/server operating systems
- LAN/WAN technology including advanced configuration of associated equipment
- Design, installation, operation and maintenance of databases
- Proficient with copper wire, fiber and microwave or radio frequency technology and protocols.
- Valid state Driver’s License
- Various DoD corporate reoccurring training requirements, including Information Assurance Training, CPR, and First Aid
- Meets qualification levels of assigned CyberIT/CSWF Specialty Area IAW DoD 8140 & SECNAV M-5239.2
- Ability to speak, read, and write English.
