Portfolio Accounting Fund Accountant

Role Overview

• The preparation of Cash and Positions Reconciliations, ensuring a timely accurate output
• Establish and maintain good relationships with internal service departments and clients
• Converse and liaise with internal services departments to resolve miscellaneous fund issues
• Attend and participate in team meetings
• Escalate issues and aged items to Portfolio Accounting Supervisor and Manager
• Work on ah-hoc projects and tasks depending on both client structure, client requirements and business needs
• Assist team development by providing guidance, training and mentoring to associates
• Ensure pre-agreed internal and external deadlines are met consistently
• Ensure that HedgeServ’s client focused ethos is maintained on a daily basis

Requirements

• Accounting, Finance or Business Degree
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong attention to detail and well organized
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
• Ability to be flexible and work effectively both within a team structure and independently
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to positively influence team morale
• Take ownership of designated tasks
• Act as a role model for HedgeServ
