Ensure all exploration projects are executed with the highest commitment to health, safety, environmental stewardship, and regulatory compliance.
Lead and coordinate multiple geothermal exploration programs worldwide, including drilling campaigns, well testing, and field development activities.
Manage exploration projects from early-stage scoping and permitting through execution and turnover for plant construction.
Apply Ormat’s well delivery process to ensure drilling campaigns and well flow tests meet technical, safety, and quality standards.
Develop, maintain, and track project schedules, ensuring alignment with program goals and milestones.
Proactively identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and communicate potential impacts to stakeholders.
Serve as an interface between permitting, transmission/interconnection, land, resource science, and engineering teams.
Align objectives and priorities across departments to ensure coordinated and successful exploration outcomes.
Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and promoting best practices across exploration and drilling projects.
Requirements
A Bachelor of Business or Engineering Degree (preferred) or related field (significant relevant field experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).
PMP project management qualification required to either be already held, or a commitment to achieve certification
Five (5) years’ experience directly associated with projects, with preference being related to drilling or geothermal projects.
Proven ability to manage multi-disciplinary projects across technical and non-technical teams under a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Experience working with a diverse range of cultures is advantageous.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and influence positively a diverse group of executives, managers, stakeholders, and subject matter experts.
Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing. The ability to speak and write in multiple languages is preferred, specifically Spanish, French, Bahasa.
Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record acceptable to Ormat’s auto insurance carrier.
Must be able to travel up to 30% of the time to international and domestic locations as needed per project and possibly with short notice.
