About this role
Role Overview
Serve as a subject matter expert for Workday and Sales Compensation systems, processes, and data flows
Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements from stakeholders across Sales, Finance, HR, and Operations teams
Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and process documentation
Partner with engineering and development teams to design, test, and implement system enhancements and new capabilities
Support the end-to-end sales compensation lifecycle, including plan configuration, calculations, reporting, and payouts
Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process improvement within compensation operations
Create and maintain detailed documentation including business process flows, data dictionaries, and system configuration guides
Lead and facilitate working sessions, sprint reviews, and stakeholder meetings
Define and execute UAT (User Acceptance Testing) plans, and coordinate testing with business stakeholders
Support integrations between Workday and adjacent systems such as ServiceNow, Oracle EBS, and other enterprise applications
Respond to, and help manage incidents. Participate in RCA activities and assist with defining SLOs and SLIs for business stakeholders
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role, ideally in a technology or SaaS company
Strong hands-on experience with Workday, particularly in HCM or related modules
Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments; familiarity with tools like Jira and Confluence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business conversations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven mindset
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Experience writing user stories, use cases, and functional specifications
Required experience with Sales Compensation programs, incentive plan design, or commission processing
Experience with API integrations or familiarity with integration platforms
Experience with Workday Integrations, Workday Extend, or Workday Studio
