Execute project work plans, including reviewing data and supporting documentation for R&D tax credits under IRC Sections 41 and 174
Assist in leading technical interviews with client personnel, such as scientists and engineers, to gather key project details
Prepare and review appropriate quantitative and qualitative documentation to support project results using Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and Alteryx
Assist in leading client meetings and internal team discussions to communicate project progress and findings
Support client relationships by delivering exceptional client service and fostering collaboration with stakeholders
Mentor and train associates through on-the-job technical guidance and coaching, helping them build foundational skills in tax consulting and technology
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with a focus on innovative and efficient solutions
Collaborate with managers and senior leadership to manage risk, execute reviews, and deliver high-quality outcomes
Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment to meet deadlines and exceed client expectations
Requirements
Minimum of 2 years of experience performing R&D Tax Credit and Section 174 studies required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Engineering; MST (Master of Science in Taxation) is a plus
CPA, EA, PE or JD preferred
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Experience in the subject matter areas described above is preferred
