Act as a coach: You will mentor two outstanding HR advisors who are eager to learn, guiding them in day-to-day operational activities.
Take the lead on OHS: You will structure the occupational health and safety approach (prevention plan, CNESST files).
Be present on the ground: You will oversee our three sites (Boisbriand, Quebec City, and Montreal — a unionized environment, but very harmonious!). You will travel to Montreal at least twice a month to support our local teams.
Be proactive: You won’t just identify problems; you will bring solutions (benchmarks, analyses) before issues even reach the VP’s desk.
Requirements
Courage and autonomy: If you’re not a fan of micromanagement, this role is perfect. You want the space to build and are ready to own your decisions.
Team spirit and fairness: Helping others is non-negotiable. You’re the first person to support your colleagues.
Seasoned generalist: You have 7 to 10 years of HR experience. You’ve "seen it all" and understand the reality of a company where HR touches everything, from disability management to payroll support.
Adaptability: You can navigate a warm SME environment where the pace is fast but human-centered.
Benefits
Strong flexibility: While we ask for increased on-site presence during the first three months to build trust with managers, our policy allows up to 2 days of remote work per week (though field realities often require being on-site more).
Generous vacation: 4 weeks starting in the first year.
Group insurance paid 50% by the employer (including dental and vision), a $50/month cellphone allowance, a travel expense account, and an RRSP with employer contribution.
An incredible company culture: BBQs, themed parties, and an atmosphere where we take care of our people. Check out our social media!
