Set goals and objectives for the tooling department, aligning with company strategies.
Oversee the execution of tooling fabrication, repair, and refurbishment, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
Implement and manage the integration of advanced technologies, such as 3D printing and laser scanning, into tooling processes.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance tooling efficiency, reduce costs, and improve tool longevity.
Mentor and train junior toolmakers in advanced machining techniques, laser scanning, and 3D printing technology.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field with 5 years of experience in tooling or manufacturing, OR a High School Diploma with 10 years of experience in tooling or manufacturing.
Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving process improvements.
Comprehensive knowledge of machining tools, including lathes, milling machines, drills, and 3D printers.
Expertise in laser scanning technology and interpreting scan data for tool inspection and certification.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and sketches.
U.S. Person status or government authorization required.
