Role Overview
- Verifies invoices and compares them to purchase orders
- Ensures goods and services have been received and approved
- Manages the verification and processing of supplier/vendor payments
- Reconciles accounts payable to identify errors or incorrect charges
- Ensures payments are made accurately and on time
- May create and record customer invoices (accounting or customer service)
- Records and tracks invoices in accounts receivable
- Performs accounts receivable reconciliations
- May send account statements to customers
- Analyzes payment and collection timelines (DSO, DPO)
- May prepare tax documents (VAT, corporate income tax)
- Identifies and records transactions in the general ledger (GL)
- Works with internal teams (procurement, HR, tax, management accounting…)
- Participates in resolving internal issues and queries
- Provides required documentation for audits (internal and external)
