Own the product vision, roadmap, and lifecycle for core storage capabilities and APIs, aligning business objectives with customer needs and long‑term platform strategy
Define product requirements and success metrics for data path, management plane, and control plane capabilities, translating complex technical concepts into clear, actionable requirements
Partner closely with engineering, product marketing, and sales teams to prioritize features, make tradeoffs, and deliver high‑quality releases on time
Lead requirements and prioritization for storage services such as data protection, replication, deduplication, compression, tiering, and availability, ensuring they deliver measurable customer value
Act as the voice of the customer, incorporating feedback from customers, field teams, support, and partners into the product backlog and roadmap
Drive API product strategy, ensuring APIs are consistent, well‑documented, easy to consume, and aligned with ecosystem and partner integration needs
Collaborate with performance and architecture teams to set and validate product‑level performance goals, such as latency, throughput, and scalability targets
Evaluate market trends, competitive offerings, and emerging technologies in enterprise storage, cloud, and distributed systems to inform product direction
Support go‑to‑market readiness by contributing to product positioning, technical collateral, feature documentation, and internal enablement
Clearly communicate product plans, progress, and tradeoffs to stakeholders across engineering, sales, marketing, and leadership
Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
5+ years of experience in product management or technical product ownership, preferably in storage systems, infrastructure software, or cloud platforms
Strong understanding of enterprise block storage concepts
Familiarity with storage protocols and interfaces (e.g., SCSI, NVMe, iSCSI, Fibre Channel sufficient to make informed product and prioritization decisions)
Experience owning or defining APIs as a product, including requirements for RESTful APIs and/or gRPC, versioning, and lifecycle management
Working knowledge of data protection, replication, availability, and disaster recovery concepts
Ability to engage deeply with engineering teams on architecture and tradeoffs without being responsible for implementation
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerized environments is a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to balance customer impact, technical constraints, and business priorities
