Procurement Specialist

Role Overview

• Work with internal information customers and external vendors to research and request pricing
• Analyze, evaluate, refine and improve purchasing processes
• Manage the scoping, acquisition and implementation of new automated purchasing systems
• Manage strategic supplier relationships
• Develop metrics to measure performance, efficiency and cost savings related to the procurement process

Requirements

• BA or BS degree
• 5 years’ experience in purchasing required
• Significant process improvement experiences
• Strategic thinking, influencing, project management, problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a group or solo on projects with little to no supervision
