Collaborate with the CEO, Managing Director, and development team to develop and execute WWHA’s annual fundraising plan
Secure financial support from individuals, foundations, and corporations
Develop, grow, and manage a major gifts program, including identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of donors
Build and execute a strategy for a sustained annual giving program, including oversight of annual campaigns
Lead the writing and development of compelling fundraising materials, including donor communications, appeals, proposals, and reports
Oversee and strengthen grant strategy and execution, including supervision of the Grants and Development Coordinator
Ensure strong donor stewardship practices, with high-touch, relationship-centered engagement across all donor levels
Lead planning and execution of fundraising events
Collaborate with internal partners to develop and implement a digital fundraising strategy
Serve as a key member of the WWHA leadership team, contributing to organizational strategy and aligning development efforts with programmatic priorities
Support the CEO and Managing Director in Board engagement and development strategy, including active participation in the Board Development Committee
Manage communications with the Board of Directors regarding fundraising and support effective utilization of Board members in fundraising efforts
Represent WWHA externally through public speaking, community engagement, and donor cultivation opportunities
Work across all areas of development as needed in a hands-on capacity, particularly in a resource-constrained environment
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
A strong commitment to abortion access and a reproductive justice framework
At least 5 years of progressive development experience, with a proven track record of increasing donor revenue and building sustainable fundraising programs
Demonstrated success in major donor cultivation and stewardship
Strong development writing and communication skills, including experience with donor appeals, grant proposals, and reports
Experience managing or supervising development staff, including grant coordination functions
Ability to operate effectively across multiple fundraising streams (major gifts, grants, individual giving, events, digital)
Strategic, innovative thinking paired with a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves approach
Excellent relationship-building skills with diverse donors, stakeholders, and partners
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency with CRM systems; experience with Bloomerang preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and compelling communicator
Comfort representing the organization publicly
Knowledge of and experience using social media to support fundraising efforts
Bilingual skills preferred (Spanish or languages commonly spoken in communities served)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed
Ability to travel approximately 20–30% as required
