Role Overview
Define and own end-to-end architecture for open source and commercial infrastructure products across the enterprise
Establish architectural standards, reference patterns, and technology roadmaps aligned with business strategy
Lead greenfield and modernization initiatives from concept through production operationalization
Act as the senior technical authority for product integrations with business and client partners
Drive architectural governance, technical debt reduction, and platform scalability strategies
Author and maintain architectural decision records (ADRs), design blueprints, and infrastructure process documentation
Requirements
8+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure with a strong focus on architecture, middleware operations, and platform engineering
4+ years of Deep hands-on expertise architecting and operating middleware products — IBM MQ, WebSphere, WebLogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, Kafka, etc
3+ years of Strong hands-on expertise in Azure or AWS, including cloud-native architecture, networking, and production operations
4+ years of hands-on experience designing and operating Kubernetes platforms at scale — including containerization strategies for enterprise middleware workloads
Solid IaC and automation background — Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Rundeck, etc. — with the ability to define organizational standards
Proficiency in multiple scripting/programming languages — Python, Shell, PowerShell, Perl, etc.
Expert understanding of infrastructure domains — DNS, load balancing, API gateways, and multi-cloud networking
Experience architecting observability and monitoring solutions using Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, AppDynamics, etc.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
