About this role
Role Overview
Support and contribute to the technical design of ground-mounted PV projects, including civil works, electrical LV/MV systems, grid connection architecture, and protection systems;
Prepare and validate layouts, energy yield simulations, and Bills of Quantities (BoQs) for ground PV projects;
Support the validation of CAPEX estimates, technical assumptions, and budget feasibility at tender stage;
Ensure compliance with grid codes, DSO requirements, and internal technical standards;
Collaborate in the identification of technical risks and support mitigation measures during proposal development;
Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, supporting coordination between engineering, sales, and external partners;
Contribute to the development and maintenance of standardized design criteria, templates, and cost libraries;
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, tools, and workflows;
Participate in technical clarification meetings with clients when required.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Energy, Civil Engineering, or a similar field;
5 to 7 years of professional experience in ground-mounted PV projects;
Solid knowledge of:
Ground-mounted PV systems;
Medium Voltage (MV) design and grid connection requirements;
Civil works for solar plants (earthworks, foundations, drainage, access roads);
Interconnection and protection systems;
Advanced proficiency in engineering tools, such as:
PVSyst / PVSol;
AutoCAD (layouts and single line diagrams);
Excel for budgeting and technical analysis;
Experience in tender-stage engineering and cost estimation for EPC projects;
Experience working with multidisciplinary or international teams is highly valued;
Strong analytical skills, structured thinking, and attention to detail;
High sense of accountability and risk awareness;
Excellent communication skills, able to interact at both technical and executive levels;
