Role Overview
- Chief People Officer for the region
- Support and foster a culture that allows team members to grow & develop
- Recruit, hire, train, develop, coach, counsel, & discipline employees
- Drive record keeping requirements related to payroll, performance evaluations, safety training, etc.
- Responsible for development and strategic leadership around distribution operations
- Manage all aspects of safety in partnership with the organizational safety team
- Ensure compliance with Federal, State, Local, Corporate safety & environmental regulations
- Interface with regional sales personnel & customers to ensure standards are exceeded
- Manage regional operations to meet budgetary goals
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
- 5-6 years of recent experience in the Last-Mile service industry
- High energy, self-confident and self-motivated team player
- Proficient in computer programs such as Google Mail, Calendar, Docs, Slides, Sheets, workbook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Map Point, and Outlook
- Experience with Peoplesoft, GeoTab, Lytx, SAP, Canvas, and other related software is preferred
- Exceptional verbal skills to present information effectively
- Ability to identify and recruit highly effective associates and train them
