Manage procurement of key commodities including amino acids, vitamins, and minerals.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships while monitoring performance through KPIs.
Ensure accurate supplier data within systems.
Collaborate with operations and cross-functional teams to forecast material requirements.
Analyze historical data and market trends to anticipate demand fluctuations.
Develop procurement plans aligned with production schedules, lead times, and seasonality.
Execute customer-specific sourcing strategies aligned with pricing and supply commitments.
Monitor commodity markets, exchange rates, and supply trends to identify risks.
Provide forecasting insights to support financial planning and currency positioning.
Identify supply chain vulnerabilities and develop contingency plans.

University degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Agriculture, or a related field
5+ years of progressive experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain
Experience in agriculture, animal nutrition, or commodity-based industries is strongly preferred
Strong understanding of commodity markets, pricing volatility, and supply risk
Proven experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships
Ability to translate procurement insights into pricing and margin impacts
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in Excel and Power BI
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, multi-location environment
Willingness and ability to travel across Canada and the U.S.
