Role Overview
- Lead the launch of Hamilton’s General Casualty Preferred Select expansion
- Responsible for overall portfolio management, performance and underwriting profitability
- Attract, develop, coach, mentor, and retain underwriting talent
- Represent Hamilton Select in the marketplace and support broker engagement
- Partner with Technology team to improve Hamilton’s quote systems
- Establish and monitor key performance metrics
Requirements
- Eight or more years underwriting experience handling General Casualty lines
- Strong technical knowledge of General Casualty exposures and coverage
- Proven track record of generating new leads
- Ability to attract business from existing relationships and develop new ones
- Integrity in all internal and external relationships
- Motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
