Collaborate with senior underwriters to evaluate and assess risks.
Conduct due diligence and research as necessary.
Collaborate with the actuarial team to draft comprehensive transaction memos for reinsurance transactions.
Summarize key information, risks, and recommended actions for decision-making.
Assist in the review of contracts and trust agreements related to reinsurance transactions.
Provide support in operations, surveillance, and claims processes as needed.
Help cultivate and maintain certain relationships with brokers and cedants to enhance business partnerships.
Support the initial screening and underwriting process for new transactions.
Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve issues in a timely manner.
Contribute to research initiatives aimed at identifying new lines of business.
Stay updated on industry trends and provide insights to enhance business strategies.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in relevant fields such as Finance, Business Administration, Actuarial Science or Risk Management.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in underwriting, operations, actuarial, or other related fields.
Experience within insurance or reinsurance is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate complex data and make informed decisions.
Knowledge of underwriting principles and practices, including risk assessment and pricing methodologies.
Familiarity with contract review and trust agreements related to reinsurance transactions a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and concisely.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time efficiently, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability and willingness to learn, with a proactive approach to professional development.
