Lead the delivery of rail and transit advisory projects
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with agreed timelines, budgets, and quality standards
Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders
Provide strategic direction and leadership to project teams
Provide expert advice to clients across project feasibility, rail policy, commercial strategy, demand, revenue and cost forecasting, economic analysis and business case preparation
Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including business cases, project plans, and progress reports
Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices
Drive continuous improvement in project delivery processes and methodologies
Requirements
Proven track record in delivering transport advisory projects and schemes on time and to budget
Strong understanding of the UK transport sector, with a particular focus on the role of DfT, Network Rail and all national and sub national transport bodies in the UK rail industry
Good awareness of the changes underway to transition to GBR
A network of client relationships that you can draw on to develop new business opportunities
Experience in project leadership and team / line management, including development and mentoring of junior staff
Strong stakeholder and client management skills
Strong technical experience in the application of industry standard principles and guidance across a range of technical disciplines including demand forecasting (Passenger Demand Forecasting Handbook), economic appraisal (Department for Transport TAG and HMT Green Book) and spreadsheet modelling best practice
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Relevant degree and professional qualification in transport, engineering, project management, or a related field
