Serve as a senior technical leader representing Real‑Time Engineering across LSEG.
Partner with key stakeholders, including Product, Engineering, Operations, and Security to align architectural decisions with enterprise strategy.
Mentor architects and senior engineers, fostering a strong culture of design excellence, data‑driven decision‑making, and ownership.
Drive infrastructure modernisation across compute and network layers, including hardware lifecycle optimisation and vertical/horizontal scaling architecture.
Guide adoption of automation, observability, and SRE principles to improve resiliency, fault isolation, and recovery.
Lead architectural direction for ultra‑low‑latency network connectivity supporting real‑time distribution.
Define architectural patterns for exchange feed capture, decoding, enrichment, and first‑hop distribution across global equities, derivatives, FX, fixed income, and crypto markets.
Own the technology platform roadmap for RTMDS, covering application and infrastructure strategy.
Collaborate with the Real‑Time Unified Observability team to ensure all components expose actionable metrics, traces, logs, and health checks.
Requirements
Extensive experience designing and operating large‑scale, low‑latency, high‑throughput distributed systems.
Deep knowledge of market data platforms (e.g., RTDS, exchange feed‑handlers, exchange protocols and connectivity).
Strong background in network engineering, real‑time telemetry, and deterministic networking.
Proven experience leading major transformation initiatives (replatform projects, cloud migrations and modernisation).
Proficiency with observability platforms and SRE‑oriented engineering practices.
Ability to influence and collaborate across senior business and technology stakeholders.
Experience with RWF/RTSDK, compression strategies (e.g., delta, binary packing), and entitlement systems.
Familiarity with container orchestration and infrastructure‑as‑code frameworks, especially Kubernetes.
Strong knowledge of capital markets and real time market data.
