About this role
Role Overview
Independently handle complex tenders and prepare technical and commercial proposals
Cost estimation of projects in the field of water transport, pipeline and plant construction
Analyze, evaluate and check tender documents and prepare bills of quantities/specifications
Prepare and submit complete bid documentation in a timely manner
Develop technical alternatives and economically advantageous special proposals
Prepare budgets, cost estimates and well-founded pricing structures
Obtain, evaluate and negotiate subcontractor offers in close coordination with project management
Prepare for and participate in award and contract negotiations
Advise engineering offices, contractors and end customers on technical and commercial issues
Closely coordinate with internal specialist departments to ensure optimal project costing
Support project handovers and ensure a smooth transition into the execution phase
Provide project-related field support as required
Requirements
Degree in engineering (e.g., civil engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering) or equivalent qualification
Several years of experience in bid preparation, cost estimating or tendering for infrastructure or plant construction projects
Solid knowledge in water transport (e.g., pumps, piping systems)
Experience in civil engineering, plant construction or pipeline construction
Confident handling of tenders, bills of quantities and technical specifications
Experience working with engineering firms, contractors and end customers
Strong understanding of technical and commercial interrelations and pronounced cost awareness
Business-fluent German and good English skills
Structured, analytical and independent working style
Excellent communication skills and a confident presence in customer-facing situations
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, set priorities and reliably meet deadlines
Solution-oriented thinking and entrepreneurial approach
High level of initiative and strong team skills
