Senior Tax Analyst

Role Overview

• Assisting clients with their financial tax statements
• Responsible for overseeing various tax regulatory requirements for life and annuity insurance products
• Preparing and submitting tax forms
• Prepare quarterly, annual, and monthly withholding reconciliation
• File state withholding tax returns
• Work with IRS and state agencies to resolve issues or address penalties
• Developing operational policies and controls to ensure tax reporting compliance
• Oversee and monitor operating guidelines of third party administrators with regards to policyholder tax administration and reporting
• Make federal and state withholding deposits
• Handle various tax projects
• Prepare and Assist with reconciliation of tax accounts
• Assist with various state and federal tax audits
• Adhere to Life and Annuity Tax regulatory guidelines

Requirements

• Life and Annuity insurance industry knowledge
• Good communication skills
• Knowledge of MS office including Excel
• Knowledge of accounting software package
• Multiple years of experience working with life and Annuity insurance products, financial statements, tax returns and tax issues.
