Perform analysis of large data sets to assure the quality of all products and filings.
Collaborate with other divisions regarding regulatory data needs.
Support the team in fulfilling contractual obligations at the federal and state levels.
Preparation of annual Statistical Agent filings and other compilations required by insurance regulators.
Detailed data reviews, both on transactional and aggregate levels.
Writing and running programs to extract data for review and report compilation.
Develop more efficient, automated ways to improve procedures including data quality and error detection.
Utilize extensive experience in problem solving, troubleshooting, and investigation.
Interaction with ISO’s insurer customers and other organizations regarding data review prior to submission to regulators and state insurance departments.
Grow subject matter expertise on several lines of property-casualty insurance business.
Hone foundational skills in communicating analytical results and insights through clear summaries, exhibits, and visualizations.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in a STEM major or with STEM coursework learned in associated majors (Actuarial Science, Computer Science, Data Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Economics).
2-5 years of Property-Casualty insurance work experience.
Passing of at least two actuarial exams is preferred. Commitment to attainment of an insurance professional designation (ACAS, CPCU, AIDM), or of a technology or project management designations.
Data management skills and knowledge of insurance data management principles.
Experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis.
Familiarity with insurance coverages, actuarial methodologies, and quality control.
Technical background includes proficiency in MS Office applications and understanding of computer programming / software development concepts.
Proficiency in SQL, VBA, SAS, R, Python, ETL tools or Business Rules Engines; fluency in cloud databases and workflow scripts (e.g. Jupyter Notebooks) is a plus.
Background experience in Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Spotfire, COGNOS, or other data visualization software would be advantageous.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
