Develop new features in backend applications, ensuring quality and adherence to team standards
Work on performance, stability, and security improvements for existing applications
Identify and remediate security vulnerabilities, applying best practices and OWASP standards
Refactor and modernize legacy code, incrementally reducing technical debt
Collaborate with product and business teams to refine and estimate technical requirements
Document solutions, technical decisions, and application changes
Participate in code reviews, contributing to code quality and standardization across the team

Strong experience with Java (version 21+), Spring Boot, and Spring Data JPA
Experience with Hibernate as an object-relational mapping (ORM) framework
Experience developing new features in production backend applications
Experience with application security (authentication, authorization, OWASP best practices)
Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or Oracle), including query optimization and performance tuning
Ability to identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and stability issues in existing applications
Experience with monitoring and observability tools, specifically Datadog and AWS CloudWatch
Version control using Git
Good communication skills for aligning with internal teams and presenting technical solutions
