Collaborate with internal teams and end users to determine technical requirements (e.g., authentication, SIS integration).
Assess and propose technical solutions tailored to customer needs and constraints.
Provide ongoing technical consultation and assistance for both internal and external partners, including best practices and process improvements.
Pilot and test middleware solutions to streamline data transfer between customer data sources and Canvas.
Own the delivery of solutions from planning through execution.
Document processes thoroughly and maintain up-to-date records for all projects.
Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and efficiently, both in writing and orally.
Develop custom tools to enhance team workflows and productivity.
Minimize Instructure’s risk exposure through careful management of technical integrations and configurations.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2+ years of experience in SaaS implementations or technical support roles.
Solid understanding of identity provider authentication systems (e.g., CAS, SAML, LDAP, OAuth).
Experience working with APIs.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong interpersonal abilities with a customer-centric approach.
Willingness and capability to learn and apply new technologies quickly.
Some experience with a programming language is strongly preferred.
Ability to collaborate across departments and with stakeholders at various levels.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to manage shifting priorities and timelines.
Experience in higher education or K-12 sectors is preferred.
