Senior BI Analyst

Role Overview

• Perform data governance activities (curation, quality, best practices).
• Develop and maintain ETL processes: build, automate, and optimize data pipelines, ensuring data quality, integrity, and performance in data loading.
• Model and structure Data Warehouses/Data Marts: define dimensional models (star schema/snowflake), organize data to support OLAP analyses and scalability.
• Create dashboards and analytical reports: develop management dashboards in tools such as Microsoft Power BI or SAP BusinessObjects, focusing on usability and insight generation.
• Work simultaneously on multiple projects/clients: manage parallel requests, prioritize deliveries, and communicate with different stakeholders in a structured way.
• Perform data analysis and support decision-making: interpret data, identify patterns, generate insights, and propose improvements for the business.

Requirements

• Proven experience in BI and/or data governance projects: hands-on work building data pipelines, modeling and delivering analytical dashboards, and data governance.
• Strong ETL skills: experience with tools such as Informatica PowerCenter, DataStage, or similar, including data ingestion, transformation, and loading.
• Solid knowledge of dimensional modeling and OLAP: implementation of Data Warehouses, analytical cubes, and query optimization for multidimensional analysis.
• Experience with visualization and BI tools: proficiency in at least one of the following: Power BI, BusinessObjects, or QlikView.
• Ability to self-manage and handle multiple projects simultaneously: organized, able to prioritize tasks and deliver consistently without constant supervision.
• Experience with multiple BI/ETL/data governance tools: combined use of tools such as Power BI + BusinessObjects or other market tools.
• Experience in data governance and data quality projects using solutions such as Informatica EDC, IDQ, Axon, or IDMC.
• Knowledge of query and data manipulation languages: advanced SQL and, preferably, Python or another language for data processing.
• Experience in agile environments (Scrum/Kanban): participation in data squads or projects with iterative deliveries.
• Experience serving multiple clients or concurrent projects: proven track record in consultative roles or dynamic environments.
• Proactive, results-oriented profile: ability to propose improvements, anticipate issues, and maintain a high level of engagement.
